The wine shows vibrant youthful straw lemon colour. The aroma is filled with tree fruits of apple, pear combined with fleshy stone fruits of peach and nectarine, along with classic mineral wet stone and flint, all backed up by spicy cedar oak nuances complemented with nutty almond and marzipan. Crafted from the best Tumbarumba fruit of each vintage, selected vineyard blocks are hand-picked and whole bunch pressed. Each of these blocks is kept separate and fermented in 100% French oak. The wine remains in barrel for a total of nine months, being carefully topped every two weeks while stored in a temperature-controlled room. Individual barrels are carefully hand selected for the blend, pumped out of barrel, blended and stabilised ready for bottling.
It pairs well with highly flavoured fish dishes and white meats, enjoy with a chicken cranberry and camembert pie, yet also superb just by itself.
