McWilliam’s Bagtown Glen the Innovator Cabernet Sauvignon

When J.J. McWilliam first planted vineyards in the region in 1913, Griffith (then named Bagtown) was far from civilisation, an area of great hardship, yet limitless opportunity.

Glen McWilliam “The Innovator” recognised the potential for dry table wine and first planted the now famous varieties such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon in Griffith, transforming the region and ensuring another half century of prosperity. The McWilliam’s Bagtown Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich and intensely flavoured wine with a core of dark berry fruit, framed by soft, fine tannins.

A seamless texture of herbal and blackcurrant flavours providing a lush backdrop balancing a tight tannin structure. Nutmeg and hints of tobacco leaf from oak nuances gives complexity with a lengthy finish.
