McWilliam’s Off the Press Shiraz Tempranillo

Sunday December 13, 1936: Just off the press, McWilliam’s Family to expand to keep up with demand. Since 1877, the McWilliam’s family have been pioneers of the New South Wales wine industry. This year sees McWilliam’s investing in expansion and harvesting techniques as demand picks up across the globe for these different styles. The new Shiraz Tempranillo is described by the family “as bold and spicy; the perfect match for food.”

Inspired by the iconic stories of the McWilliam’s family throughout the decades and grown from the rich soils of New South Wales, this wine portrays one family’s passion for the art of winemaking.

AROMA

Aromas of plum, and peppery red currants and cherry fruit dominate the nose with hints of black pepper, spice and sweet toasty oak with hints of vanilla notes add complexity.

PALATE

Palate is soft but full bodied. Flavours of mulberry and spicy red currants and cherry are supported by a strong tannin backbone and toasty oak provides excellent length to the palate, balancing the wine out perfectly.
