New South Wales
This highly varietal nose contains intense peach, nectarine and rockmelon. There are subtle biscuit and nutty aromas coming through from the fine French oak, with hints of some butterscotch.
Sweet intense peach and citrus flavours are prevalent on this rich palate. Showing lovely texture, the palate is balanced with some clean acidity, providing length and structure. The French oak provides tightness and length, with some yeasty creamy notes also coming through. The finish is long and refreshing, with a balanced, clean palate.
Light straw-green; reflects the reach of the McWilliam's empire, for there seems to be some cool/temperate climate fruit (Margaret River, Hilltops or Tumbarumba all possibilities), and a hint of oak; has developed well to this point, and will never be better than it is now.
