      Entry Restrictions

      1. Open to all residents of Australia who are 18 years of age or over. However, employees and their immediate families of McWilliam’s Wines, Art Gallery of New South Wales and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter
      2. Entrants must be subscribed to the Art Gallery of New South Wales Artmail
      3. One entry is permitted per person during the competition

      Competition Period

      Wednesday 2nd November at 00:01 (AEDT) and concludes on Wednesday 30th November 23:59 (AEDT)

      Entry Mechanic

      To enter, participants must:

      1. Receive the Artmail subscription email from the Art Gallery of New South Wales
      2. Complete the McWilliam’s newsletter registration
      3. Answer the compulsory competition question

      Draw Details

      McWilliam’s Wines, (ABN: 36 000 024 108) of 68 Anzac Street, Chullora NSW Australia 2190, on Thursday 1st December 2016 at 14:00 (AEST).

      Winner Determination

      Each valid entrant who has entered the competition over the duration of the promotional period will be entered into the draw.  This is a game of skill. Twenty (20) valid entrants will be selected based on the following criteria:

      1. Originality
      2. Creativity
      3. Quality, not quantity

      Winner Notification and Publication

      The winners will be notified within two days of the draw. The winners will be notified of their prize via email. Winner’s names will be published on http://mcwilliams.com.au/promotions/ on Friday 2nd December 2016.

      Prize Details

      Each winner will receive:

      • One (1) twin pack of McWilliam’s Wines containing one (1) x bottle of McWilliam’s Appellation Tumbarumba Chardonnay 2015 and one (1) x bottle of McWilliam’s Appellation Hilltops Shiraz 2014, valued up to AU$50.00

      Prize Pool

      Total prize value is up to = AU$1,000.00 (including GST)

      Entry Limits

      Entrants in the competition may only enter once. Only one prize per person is permitted.

      Prize Claim Date and Time

      The prize must be claimed by 14:00 on Saturday 31st December 2016.

      Unclaimed Prize Draw Details

      Subject to any direction given under relevant State legislation, an unclaimed prize draw will take place at McWilliam’s Wines, (ABN: 36 000 024 108) of 68 Anzac Street, Chullora NSW Australia 2190, on Wednesday 4th January 2017 at 14:00 (AEDT).

      Unclaimed Prize Draw Winner Notification and Publication

      The winners will be notified within two days of the draw. The winners will be notified of their prize via email. Winner’s names will be published on http://mcwilliams.com.au/promotions/ on Thursday 5th January 2017.

      Terms and Conditions

      1.  This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, based upon individual creative merit. All entries must be an independent creation by the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in any other competitions.

      2. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity (including phone bill or store receipt for purchase requirement) in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.

      3. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. This includes, but not limited, to entrants and households using multiple email addresses, postal addresses, PO Box addresses or SIM cards to register single or multiple purchases. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.

      4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter.       5. Entries must be received by 23:59 (AEST) on Wednesday 30th November 2016. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries including SMS messages not received by the Promoter or delays in the delivery of the SMS message due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.

      6. Any entry that is made on behalf of an Entrant by a third party will be invalid.

      7. Prizes cannot be transferred and cannot be redeemed for cash.

      8. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.

      9. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State Regulation.

      10. Once prizes have left the Promoter’s premises, the Promoter takes no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.

      11. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable media editorial requests relating to the prize, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the duration of the prize.

      12. In consideration for the Promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner hereby assigns to the Promoter all right, title and interest in and to all copyright in any material created pursuant to the winner’s participation in any aspect of the prize (Works). The winner acknowledges that the Promoter is free to use the Works and to exercise its rights in relation thereto and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

      13. In consideration for the Promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner hereby permits the winner’s image and/or voice, as recorded, photographed or filmed during the winner’s participation in the prize to appear in connection with McWilliam’s Wines or the advertising or marketing thereof, in any media whatsoever throughout the world and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

      14. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.

      15. Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.

      16. Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.

      17. If any particular draw is scheduled on a public holiday, the draw will be conducted on the following business day.

      18. Prizes will be awarded to person named in the entry. However, in a dispute, will be awarded to the account holder of the entry mechanism used to submit their entry (i.e. online registration form account holder). 

      19. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to Promoter.

      20. The promoter’s decision is final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the Competition result.

      21. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.

      22. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.

      23. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the phone user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

      24. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

      25. McWilliam’s Wines, the Art Gallery of New South Wales and their associated agencies and companies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.

      26. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any direction given under State Regulation.

      27. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this promotion but no further use of this information will be made without prior consent. 

      38. The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and by entering the Competition, you (the entrant) are taken to consent to McWilliam’s Wines’s privacy policy which contains information, amongst other things, about how you may access personal information that is held by McWilliam’s Wines about you and seek correction of such information. When placing an order with McWilliam's Wines online or by telephone, you confirm that all the details that you have provided in completing the order and offer to purchase the liquor are true and correct.

It is a condition of purchase that you verify that you are 18 years of age or over. If you do not confirm that you are 18 years or over, your order will not be processed.

Customers should also be aware of the following inherent risks and warnings:

  • Alcohol should be consumed in moderation and never in conjunction with operating a motor vehicle or machinery. Women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects. Alcohol consumption may cause health problems.
  • A case of wine is heavy, so extra care should be taken when lifting it. If you are concerned about the weight we advise that you transfer the bottles 1 or 2 at a time.
  • Red wine in particular may cause staining if spilt, so extra care should be taken.
  • Sparkling wines can be volatile due to the build-up of gasses. Extra care should be taken when opening these.

Delivery and Returns Policy

Delivery Charges

  • $10 per case (up to 12 bottles)
  • Free Delivery when you spend $300 or more

Delivery Regions and Timeframes

  • Australia Post eParcel is our delivery partner and covers all metro and most regional areas. However, the Australian government does not permit alcohol to be delivered to classified dry zones. Please email us at cellardoor@mcwilliamswines.com.au if you require clarification.
  • Delivery times are between 3 to 10 business days depending on your address.

Receiving your order

  • When we pick your order we will send you an email with your eParcel tracking number http://auspost.com.au/track. Once you have the tracking number you can logon to the eParcel website to get an estimate of delivery day.
  • If you are not at home when eParcel delivers, then an Article Awaiting card will be left in your postbox and you can collect your order from a local post office at a later time.
  • If you pay by credit card you can request to have your order left unattended. However even if you make this request Australia Post reserves the right to leave an Article Awaiting card. They will do this where eParcel staff judge that the order is not safe or could be accessed by persons under the age of 18 years.
  • McWilliams supports the responsible service of alcohol. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years. So please note that you or the person receiving your order must have ID proving they are over 18years of age.

Returns and Refunds Policy

If you wish to change or cancel your order, please contact our Customer Service Team as soon as possible on 1800 835 933 or cellardoor@mcwilliamswines.com.au. Proof of purchase must be provided to obtain a refund, limits may apply, and all exchange products must be in their original condition and packaging.

If your order is faulty, damaged, is not what you ordered or breaches a consumer guarantee we will refund your money or exchange the product upon presentation of your proof of purchase. If your purchase incurred a delivery fee, then we will cover the cost of delivery for the return.

If you change your mind, exchanges are at McWilliam's Wines discretion. For exchange of a delivered product, unfortunately additional delivery charges will be deducted from your refund. Please note that all change of mind returns must be in their original condition and packaging.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the way in which, McWilliam's Wines Ltd (McWilliam's Wines) will handle personal information that you provide to us through this website or through any other form of communication with us, our agents and contractors.

McWilliam's Wines is bound by the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) comprised in Schedule 3 to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and any variation will be reflected in this Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to any personal information of yours which we collect or that is otherwise provided to us.   • Date of birth – please note it is against Liquor Laws to sell or supply alcohol to, or obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years. In order to process any orders placed through our website, we may ask you to provide additional details or require you to verify your age

  • Information about your wine preferences.

Additionally, as you use this website, certain information is also collected through various technologies, such as cookies, internet tags or web beacons and navigational data collection. We collect your personal information in order to provide the goods and services that you have requested from us to you. For example, when using this website, we collect your personal information in order to process and administer your order and related purposes.

We will generally provide you with access to any of your personal information we hold (subject to the exceptions that apply under the NPPs).

Before we provide you with access to your personal information we will require some proof of identity. For most requests, your information will be provided free of charge.
