Winery

Set in the midst of the unique Australian landscape is the McWilliam's Hanwood Estate Winery. Established in 1917, the winery stands today as a pillar of winemaking excellence dedicated to creating the very best wines.

In March 2008, following two years of significant investment and expansion, the new McWilliam's Hanwood Estate Winery was opened.

The multi-million dollar development project saw the creation of a new small winemaking facility, created to handle small, premium parcels, with state-of-the-art equipment as well as new laboratory and winemaking areas, and a brand new office. The expansion allows greater flexibility and opportunities for wine style development and innovation in the region and an ongoing commitment to the Riverina area since its winemaking potential was first discovered by John James McWilliam in 1913, when he established the first winery in the region - McWilliam's Hanwood Estate.
